TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH MORE.
At the Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA, we are committed to reaching out and impacting as many lives as we can, so that we can improve the quality of life for all.
The Y is more than just a gym … it’s a cause. A cause that is for:
- Youth Development,
- Healthy Living,
- Social Responsibility,
- Eliminating Racism, and
- Empowering Women.
Since 1866, the Y has served the Tri-States providing programs, resources, and support to more than 10,000 people a year. That’s about 1 in 6 residents in Dubuque every year.
Annually, the Y provides more than $200,000 of financial assistance — making the Y’s services such as child care, drowning prevention programming, and the domestic violence shelter accessible to the kids and families who need them the most. Financial assistance helps make it possible that no one is turned away from the Y because of an inability to pay.
The Y serves to connect the community, and collaborates with many local partners to meet the needs of our neighbors with solution-based initiatives that build confident kids, healthy families, and a stronger community.
