The Dubuque Y Re-opens, Expect Changes:
Our leadership team has continued to use this time of closure to make facility updates and has already begun planning your safe return. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of our members and is working diligently to develop a plan that will do just that. Our facility will reopen gradually and this will be guided by state and federal guidelines, as well as the response from our members. This means that not all program areas will re-open immediately, but we assure you that in time we will adapt to this new normal and fully plan to resume all program areas. What are your business hours during phase 1?

Is childcare available for my kids?
Childcare is available to emergency personnel including healthcare workers, police officers, and firefighters as well as any other community member currently in need of care. Care is being provided at our Finely and Booth locations for children 0-12 years of age. To inquire about childcare, please contact reply@dubuquey.org

How can I remain active during this closure?
Though our building is open, there are some parts of the facility that will remain closed until later phases such as basketball in the gym, group exercise classes, the pool, and other space. If the area you are used to using is currently unavailable please know that we are still here for you! We continue to focus on keeping our community healthy in mind, body and spirit from the comfort of their own home with our Virtual Wellness Resources! Our fitness instructors are doing Facebook Live workouts and our social media pages are full of other workouts, recipes, encouraging words, as well as invitations to share with us what you are doing. In addition, there are other virtual platforms such as YMCA360, Les Mills, and MOSSA Move on Demand, that are available. Check out our Virtual Wellness Page HERE.

Can I still register for programs next session?
Yes! We are happy to continue to register members for Summer Session programs, Union Park Day Camp, and Cool School. Online registration is available on our website. Most staff are working remotely, which will limit registration to online and email request only.

When will we know more?

Are you accepting new members? How can I rejoin or become a new member of the Dubuque Y?
We are excited to welcome new members into our facility as of Monday, May 18. There will be no joiner fee for the month of May and. See our MEMBERSHIP PAGE for more information and to fill out our membership application. Are there any cleaning precautions taking place during the closure?
While our facilities are closed our staff teams will be cleaning and sanitizing all spaces, equipment, surfaces and common areas, as well as doing some additional facility updates.
