The Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA is committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. To that end, we provide financial assistance for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of programs and services. By offering a financial assistance program to eligible individuals, our programs can be accessible to individuals and families at all income levels without maintaining a fee structure that is artificially low or that compromises program quality.
To complete a Financial Assistance Application, stop at either Y Front Desk, or contact our Membership Engagement Director. Please provide appropriate financial documentation when submitting your application. After review of your application, you will receive notification of your financial obligation, should you choose to join.
Our Financial Assistance program is made possible through the generous donations of members, community members and local businesses. It is our goal not to turn anyone away due to the inability to pay based on our financial resources.
Eligible applicants will:
- Work or reside in the Tri-State service area.
- Have a financial need resulting from low income, medical expenses, etc.
- Be able to pay a portion of the fees as the Y believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of their YMCA involvement.
