FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

 

The Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA is committed to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. To that end, we provide financial assistance for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of programs and services. By offering an Income-Based membership program to eligible individuals, our programs can be accessible to individuals and families at all income levels without maintaining a fee structure that is artificially low or that compromises program quality.

To sign up with our Income-Based Pricing, stop at the Dubuque Y Front Desk, or contact our Membership and Wellness Director, Casey Curoe. Please provide appropriate financial documentation (listed on the membership information page) when signing up for membership. After review of your documentation, our staff will use the income-based pricing to determine your cost of membership per month. Please see our Income-Based calculator on our Membership Information page to get an estimate of your membership cost. 

Our Income-Based program is made possible through the generous donations of members, community members and local businesses. It is our goal not to turn anyone away due to the inability to pay based on your financial resources.

 

Eligible applicants will:

  • Work or reside in the Tri-State service area.
  • Have a financial need resulting from low income, medical expenses, etc.
  • Be able to pay a portion of the fees as the Y believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of their YMCA involvement.
