FUTSAL

We are thrilled to now be offering FUTSAL! This new program will be taught by our Health and Wellness Director, Casey Curoe, who has over 10 years of soccer playing and coaching experience both at a high school and college level.
What is Futsal? Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game. It is recognized as a scaled-down version of outdoor soccer played indoors played 5 v 5, played on a hard surface, a basketball-sized court with a smaller, low bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls. 
What are some of the advantages of Futsal?
  • Allows players to frequently touch the ball.
  • Allows for more opportunities to score more goals and more often.
  • Allows for more participation.

 

In January we will be running Futsal as an 8 week program. The first four weeks will be focused on skill development (ball work, passing, dribbling, etc.) getting the children comfortable with the game. The last four week we will then switch to gameplay and break the children up into teams allowing them to use their new skills in a different way.

Tuesdays AND Thursdays:

  • 6 – 9 year olds from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

FEBRUARY 2 – FEBRUARY 26: Games
