INCOME BASED PRICING

Did you know that no one is ever turned away from the Y due to inability to pay? This special promise means that everyone will have an opportunity to participate in the Y regardless of their household or personal income. This remarkable commitment by the Y is made possible by the generous contributions of our members and friends who, like you, believe in the Y’s ability to help strengthen the lives of kids and families in our community.

Assistance is determined on level of income, family size, and circumstances. Proof of financial need is required and needs to be provided in-person at the front desk for verification. Income-Based Pricing (IBP) will need to be re-verified for eligibility with supporting documentation two years from the membership activation date. Failure to re-verify will result in the membership being charged at the full rate. All information provided is kept confidential.

  • Molina Medicaid (eligible members can enjoy a free Dubuque YMCA membership, upon verification of eligibility)

Payment can be made in two ways: Financial institution draft (need official documentation), Joining fees are waived for financial assistance members.

This non-refundable fee is charged to new members and renewing members who have let their membership lapse for a period greater than 30 days.

NOTE: All reduced rate membership pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

Monthly payment may be deducted from checking, savings, debit or credit card. This option requires payment of joining fee, prorated first month dues at sign-up, current financial institution draft information, and completion of the membership application. Members may cancel at any time through the same method they used to sign up—online or in person. To avoid being charged for the upcoming month, cancellations must be submitted to the Dubuque YMCA by the 15th of the current month.

If a draft payment is not successfully processed on the 1st of the month, members are responsible for the missed payment plus a $20 return fee. This is in addition to any fees charged by your financial institution. Access to the facility may be suspended until the balance is paid in full.

Should any bank draft not be honored by a bank for any reason, members are responsible for that payment, including any service fee assessed by the Dubuque Community Y. This is in addition to any service fees assessed by the bank. Members/families will be denied access to the facility until the balance due is paid.

Members ages 10+ will be issued a membership card. This card will be used as admission to the Y. Replacement cards may be issued for $2.00.

You may also access your digital barcode online through our membership management software. You must know your email and password in order to access your account. Access your account through our Member Login.

Digital membership barcodes are available upon request at the front desk and can be sent to the phone number or email we have on file. You may also save the barcode to your phone’s digital wallet for easy access.

Kids Corner is a free service offered to members while parents/guardians use the Y facilities. Children must be active members on the same account as their parents/guardians.

We highly recommend calling the front desk (563-556-3371) in advance to make sure Kids Corner is open as staffing can affect the hours.

Parents/guardians must remain in the Y at all times. There is a two-hour limit on Kids Corner per day.

Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States through membership at your “home” YMCA (your home location is the facility that enrolled you as a member and that collects your membership dues).
