Dubuque’s Dances with the Stars

The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce’s Dubuque Dances with the Stars 2024 will be held on Sat., June 8, 2024, at the Mississippi Moon Bar located inside of Diamond Jo Casino.

Since its inception in 2010, Dubuque Dances with the Stars has raised more than 2.5 million dollars for over 100 local nonprofits. DBQ DWTS targets a community-wide audience to highlight, educate, and create awareness of nonprofits’ role in our community.

Support Roman Weinberg, Dubuque YMCA’s Branch Director, this year as he dances to raise money for the YMCA! Roman is dancing for the Dubuque Community Y to ensure that no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay. Guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the Y is dedicated to giving people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.

21st Annual Golf Classic

Monday, June 24, 2024 | 11:30AM Shotgun Start at Thunder Hills Country Club

Our annual Golf Classic takes place every June at a local country club. Funds raised support scholarship assistance for our members, so no one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay. Sponsorships help make this event possible.

Lemonade Stand at the Dubuque County Fair

Save the date for this year’s fair, July 23-July 28, 2024.

The YMCA has been running a lemonade stand at the Dubuque County Fair for decades and it is run completely by volunteers! Every July, dozens of volunteers sign up for our collectible volunteer shirts and to help us sell our famous, fresh squeezed lemonade. Funds raised support scholarship assistance for our members, so no one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.

19th Annual Glimmer of Hope

Save the date for this year’s event, Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Hotel Julien!

Every October, the YMCA’s Glimmer of Hope committee puts on an annual event to support Dubuque Y Crisis Services. The Y’s Crisis Services provides temporary emergency shelter & supportive services to victimized women and their families, so they have the protection and freedom to live safely in our community. Sponsorships help make this event possible along with community participation and donations.
